Albert Chen

Albert built several successful businesses before he built CMIA, and the discipline that ran through all of them was the same: serve the customer in front of you, and the rest takes care of itself.

After running restaurants in Columbia, South Carolina, Albert joined Merrill Lynch and earned a place on a team managing more than $3 billion in client assets. He was recognized as one of the top new advisors in the country before deciding to build a firm of his own, one where independent fiduciary advice and personal attention came first. He founded Course Management Investment Advisors to deliver the level of personal attention, fiduciary care, and strategic depth that he believed the families he worked with deserved and were not always getting.

Albert holds a degree from the Honors College of Florida State University and earned his CFP® designation. He lives in Wake Forest, North Carolina with his wife Donna and their two sons, Owen and Nolan, who keep him on the baseball circuit most weekends. When he is not at a ballfield, he is most likely on a golf course, at a good meal with friends, or planning the next trip.
